History: 50ft trad boat built by Peter Nichols, fixed double, large sofa bed in saloon, Morso stove, portholes throughout but with glazed internal front doors to let plenty of light in. Side doors opposite the galley also let plenty of light in.
Year Built: 1987
Steelwork: 10-6-4 flat bottom (insurance survey dated 3rd June 2019 available to view in the office).
Shell in a traditional style, Decks are all steel and self draining.
Brasswork: Mushroom vents, hatch slides, portholes, tiller and pin,
Engine: BMC 1.5 with PRM Gearbox.
Cooling is through a sealed skin tank.
Engine Control by Morse style control lever.
Warning lights: Charge, oil pressure.
Fuel: Approx 75 gallons.
12v installation for lighting and water supply.
Stirling 3KW inverter supplies cabin services which include a Bosch electric hob, Combi Oven (grill, microwave & fan oven) and 240v fridge. 4 leisure batteries and 1 start.
Shore hook up 16amp 240v
240v sockets throughout the boat four double sockets in the saloon and two in the bedroom.
Windows & Doors
Brass portholes with large forward full steel doors lined in wood with internal glazed doors to allow light in the boat. Rear doors are steel doors with wood inserts. Set of side doors in galley ( Perspex cover for side doors).
Bathroom: Large shower bath with seat, large sink and pump out toilet with holding tank. Lots of cupboards in bathroom as well as a large mirrored cupboard above sink with shelves and hanging space, shaver point. Access to wardrobe also available from the corridor outside the bathroom.
Cabin heating: Morso solid fuel stove set on a hearth with copper sheeting. A back boiler provides heating along the length of the boat.
Water Heating: 12 gallons approx. lagged calorifier under the bed, heated by engine.
Furnishings: quality upholstery and curtains, Large sofa bed in the saloon with storage under. Gate leg table & four chairs and two directors chairs. Floor is oak laminate boards, TV located on a bracket with a satellite dish (in front locker).
Insulation: sheet insulation behind all external linings (except underfloor). Ringmain in conduit so it does not touch insulation.
Ballast: probable concrete slabs but not visable.
Sleeping: 4 berths in 2 cabins, 6ft 3in x 4.5ft double bedroom
Water System: tank below well deck at the front of the boat, automatic water pump to sink in galley (filtered) and shower room.
Cooking: this boat is all electric so the hob and cooker are run off the inverter.
Seating & Eating: Large sofa bed in saloon, gate leg table and directors chairs in saloon for eating
Fitout: Original fitout by Peter Nichols.,
Finishes: Lower hull sides coated with epoxy paint.
Superstructure: cabin sides painted Dark Green (Masons) with cream coachlines, cabin top and handrails painted green with red trim to leading roof edge and piping to the leading side edges. Front cockpit is black and the fore and aft decks are red. Slides and front locker hatch have traditional motifs in cream surrounds. Ben is sign written on bow, roses and castles on doors.
Inventory: On deck items include: tunnel light, horn, fenders, aft button, side fenders, pole, hook, plank, mooring spikes, windlasses and hammer. Bow, centre line and stern ropes, and shorter lengths for home mooring.
BSC: to 22 April 2022.
Ownership History: 2 owners from new
Engine: Serviced regularly since new.
Hull: recent out of water survey for insurance.
Location: The boat is moored at Welton Hythe.
